ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants to the CIDESCO program are required to have completed secondary school, including Grade 10 mathematics and Grade 12 English and must be over the age of 18. While there are no other specific academic prerequisites, biology, chemistry, and electrical physics will be featured strongly in this programme, therefore an adequate background in these subjects would be an asset to students.

1) In order to be accepted into the program, the student must provide us with all of the following:

  • Students must formally submit an application to the International Diploma Programme.

  • Within the application, students will be asked to complete an essay discussing what attracts them to The Esthetic Institute’s CIDESCO program, and the traits they possess that will help them to excel. students must discuss what they expect the program to be like and what they hope to learn from it. The essay must be written in their own hand print or writing.

  • A sponsorship letter or official documentation indicating that they are able to pay for the program and their living expenses while enrolled in the course.

  • Evidence of proficiency in English (written and verbal)

Education records of high school and/pr post-secondary education completed.

2) International students must complete a one hour personal interview via Skype session with the diploma program director. At this time, they will go through a detailed orientation regarding the structure of the program, fees required, and refund policy.

3) In order to assess applicant’s English proficiency, a TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) exam is required to be completed by the applicant in their home country with final scores submitted to TEI for consideration.

The Esthetic Institute conducts all classes in English and does not have the capacity to offer language assistance. Students must be proficient enough to participate in classes, study, communicate with students, educators, and clients, write client notes and essays, as well as be examined in English without assistance. Please note that international students are solely responsible for acquiring any required visas to study in Canada.

* International students graduating from The Esthetic Institute are not eligible for the Post Graduate Work Permit Program.*

STUDENT CAREER COUNSELLING 

Students who are interested in pursuing a career in the Esthetics Industry are invited to book an appointment with the Education Director prior to registering for The International CIDESCO Program. The Education Director will provide insight on various employment opportunities, wage expectations and typical working conditions in the industry. Academic requirements are also discussed to determine if the CIDESCO program is a fit for potential candidates. STUDENT ACADEMIC SUPPORT

The Esthetic Institute (TEI) is committed to the highest quality of education to equip students for maximum success in the industry. Periodic academic evaluations are conducted to ascertain skill level and theory comprehension for all students. Identified academic difficulties are discussed privately with the student and the Head Instructor to provide a support plan specific to the student's needs. Support plans can include additional instruction and direction for areas requiring improvement, study tips, exam preparation, and exam accommodations where possible. The Education Director is also available to assist both the student and the head instructor should additional support or action be required.

The Head Instructor is available during regular school business hours of Monday to Friday, 9am - 4:30pm.

STUDENT DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCESS

The Esthetic Institute (TEI) has a full-time student adviser on campus to discuss any concerns or disputes regarding the academic programs we offer. Students are invited to speak directly to the student advisor or may submit a confidential evaluation form should a situation arise that requires resolution. In addition, the education school director is also available to assist both the student and advisor should additional support or action be required.

Privacy Acts & Student Records Policy

The Esthetic Institute adheres to the Privacy Acts; FOIP (Federal) and PIPA (Provincial) and manages student records (personal and academic) according to the requirements of the Acts.
