Manicure & Pedicure (Combo Class)

This 6 day intensive combined Manicure and Pedicure course (taught in a hybrid format) will provide you with the practical skills and theoretic knowledge to become a certified Manicurist & Pedicurist, qualifying you to offer these professional spa services. The program provides comprehensive theory and practical training, which covers topics including client consultation, hand, foot and finger and toenail anatomy, nail disorders and diseases, methods of sterilization and sanitation and demonstrations of superior manicure and pedicure techniques. You will gain hands on experience in nail treatments, hand, arm, foot and leg massage, precise polish and French polish application, paraffin wax treatments and hot oil treatments. You will also learn proper salon and spa sanitation procedures in accordance with the Canada Health Act. Models required. Quotas required.

Artificial Nails Level I with Electric Filing

In this 5 day intensive and comprehensive Artificial Nail course (taught in a hybrid format), you will receive theory and practical training that will give you the knowledge and skills to become a successful Nail Technician. The class is taught with the most advanced artificial nail technology in the world. Various nail tip application techniques with light-cured sculpting products are taught to create artificial nails with the most natural appearance possible. For further enhancement, you will also learn the proper technique for French Manicure application and maintenance of the nail. You will gain an understanding of different nail types, nail disorders and diseases, appropriate product use and chemical composition of products. In addition, you will learn proper salon and spa sanitation procedures in accordance with the Canada Health Act.

In addition, you will learn the proper removal of artificial nails and how to successfully repair and fill injured or damaged nails. This course will also include learning how to use an approved and electric file safely on your clients to enhance your performance and efficiency in nail application. This course will ensure your confidence, knowledge and safe application of all aspects of artificial nails allowing you to step into your new careers as a Nail Technician!

Artificial Nails Level II (Advanced)

In this class you will receive a greater understanding of customization of nails for your individual clients. You will work with forms to sculpt the nails as well as understanding the reasoning behind choosing to sculpt the full nail or to build onto a tip. You will learn proper form placement and learn how correct placement is key to the overall structure of the nail. You will learn more about nail shapes, how to sculpt the free edge and placement of the apex for stronger, longer lasting nails. You will also have a review of how to properly do nail evaluation, fill techniques using forms and advanced filing techniques. Model required.

Extreme Shapes Nail Workshop

Get “in shape” with the most requested nail trends! The foundation for achieving these nail shapes begins with understanding the theory on proper structure and apex placement to create strength. The focus of this workshop is to build confidence and enhance the nail technician’s comprehension on shaping the nail to attain a variety of nail forms including; Russian stiletto, coffin/ballerina, mountain peak, pipe, edge, quill, gothic almond, razor, dragon, and butterfly. You will further expand your craftsmanship by creating two of these stunning shapes and learning how to pinch using gel products.

Nail Art Workshop

Many may feel intimidated by the perceived skills required to become a Nail Artist, when in fact, these skills are hidden within every individual. With a little bit of guidance, even YOU can be an “Artist of tiny canvases” . In this beginners class, be prepared to bring home skill sets you can apply to almost all areas of your nail career. Students will learn how to break down simple designs that may seem complicated, as well as knowledge on using specific nail art tools. This class will target recreating the trendiest designs of the season such as floral, aztec, abstract, elegant and/or cutesy styles so you can upgrade your clients’ manicure with a breeze. Please bring to class patience, an open mind and confidence in yourself as this is the key to finding your inner creativity!

Advanced Nail Art Workshop

This workshop provides nail artists the opportunity to enhance their craft and bring their skill set to the next level! Students will experience a full day of easy to follow, step-by step instruction for incorporating new, more complex nail art trends, styles, and advanced designs into a gel nail service. You will develop the skills to build an extreme stiletto nail, how to get creative by texturizing (nails don’t always have to be smooth!), building liquid gems and other embellishments, proper application of rhinestones and studs, and explore trending fashions and fads. This class is designed to encourage discussion and discovery of new ideas to push the new generation of nail artists into developing tomorrow’s innovative and viral styles. Prepare for fun, laughter, and of course everything that sparkles!

Esthetic Career Prep Workshop

The Esthetic Institute aims to give our students all the tools they need to launch a successful career in the Esthetics industry.
