The EI Student Spa is an affordable and relaxing spa, located conveniently in SE Calgary. Our professional team of Student Estheticians aim to provide each guest with first class treatments and service.

Facilities

Please familiarize yourself with the following information before your visit.

  • You may park anywhere in the parking lot EXCEPT for the stalls labeled Halls Auction or 1 hour parking.

  • Our facility is not wheelchair accessible and clients are required to climb stairs to access the student spa. 

  • Since this is an educational setting, services are not conducted in complete privacy.  Instructors will observe frequently and occasionally ask the student questions regarding treatments.

  • Services may sometimes go overtime as the students are learning.

Spa Policies

  • We accept Debit, Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Cash needs to be in exact change as we do not carry a float. Tipping is optional but greatly appreciated by our students.

  • Your student will begin your service with a consultation and/or analysis to determine your candidacy for the service. If you are medically or otherwise contraindicated, the service will not be performed. 

  • Massage services are not considered 'therapeutic' and are not performed by a registered RMT. Therefore they cannot be covered by health insurance.

  • Please note that the special pricing for the series of 4 customized facials is applicable to one client only and must be prepaid.

  • You must come alone to your appointment. Children are not allowed in the treatment area and are not allowed to be unattended in common areas.

  • There is not always a student at reception every day of the week. Messages will be returned within 5 to 7 business days.

  • If you are paying with a gift certificate you MUST present the certificate at the appointment.

Spa Etiquette

  • Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment to complete any necessary paperwork.

  • If you will not be able to attend your appointment, or if you will be late, please call the El Student Spa extension immediately at:
    403.263.2204 ext 5 or email angela@estheticinstitute.ca.  

  • If you are late for your appointment your appointment will be either shortened or re-booked, depending on time.

  • Outdoor footwear must be removed. Clean slippers are provided. 

  • Please maintain a low voice in the spa as it is a communal setting. 

  • Cell phones must be silenced. 

  • Minors under the age of 16 will require written parental permission, with signature, and a contact phone number to receive treatments.

Student Spa Experience

  • Check-in at the Student Spa Reception desk. 

  • You will be given a tote bag for your coat and personal items once you arrive at the spa.

  • You may be required to change into a robe and/or disposable undergarments for your service. 

  • Some of the products used in the spa are also available for purchase.
